Career
Coming from a family with history in cricket, Josh Philippe had a special spot for the game from a young age. His domestic career kicked off during the 2017-18 season when he made his debut in the Big Bash League playing for the Perth Scorchers.
After what seemed to be a difficult start to his career, Philippe had his breakout during the 2019-20 season when he finished as the third-highest run-scorer in the BBL with 487 runs. His performance that campaign helped his team, the Sydney Sixers, clinch the title.
Philippe continued to impress with his performance and soon became a target for the Indian Premier League teams. During the 2020 IPL auction, he acquired by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the new season.
