He was then loaned out to C.D Santa Clara, played for one season and was signed permanently by Porto.

The player then moved to Portugal where he spent his senior career playing in the Primeira Liga with Santa Clara and Porto.

At 19 years old, Sanusi signed with club Gil Vicente F.C and was loaned to third-division club SC Mirandela, making his debut as a substitute.

He was then loaned to C.D Santa Clara where he made his Primeira Liga debut for the club, playing for Santa Clara for one season before being signed permanently by Porto.
