Hikaru Komiyama powerlifter is fondly known as ‘The Little Beast’. She is an online sensation in the world of powerlifting and commands a huge following on Instagram and TikTok.
With 699K followers on Instagram, and millions on TikTok, she is quite the beast. Weighing 56kgs, Komiyama can deadlift four times her weight. In some of her videos, Little Beast stretches while showcasing her amazing flexibility, which always astounds fans.
The 31-year-old started with figure skating as a youngster before switching to powerlifting as a result of an eating disorder. She spoke candidly about her terrifying encounter with her former skating instructor on the Know Your Power podcast.
She recalls her instructor always being on her case asking her to tone up ‘by next week’. Then, she had an eating disorder which she grappled with for a very long time.
“She was initially the one who would come up to me and say ‘get rid of this’ and she would just pinch my body and be like, ‘Get rid of this by next week. And I was like, I don’t know how to. I’m literally in seventh grade. I’m like 11 maybe, and so I would ask her and she would tell my mom to put me on a 400 calorie diet,” she said on the podcast.

She focused on what her body could do with all its energy which changed her perception of food to something that she needed to power up her body for a proper workout.
Today, she can comfortably deadlift at least 200kgs. Komiyama is a mix of beauty and muscles. With an hourglass figure, she suits her workout apparel and the bulky muscles always steal the show. Many people describe her as a woman with a dream physique, mostly due to her dolled-up face.

With a total weight of 3,103 pounds, Dave Hoff presently holds the male-equipped total world record. He performed an 815.7-pound deadlift, a 1,273.1-pound squat, and a 1,014.1-pound bench press. He outclassed Hikaru Komiyama powerlifter in the men’s category.
