Dembele plays for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the 2025 Champions League winners. The Frenchman stunned tennis fans on Monday with his appearance at Roland Garros.
PSG treated the football world to a thrilling Champions League final with Inter Milan. They won 5-0 in the final played in Munich.
Dembele was in high spirits following the victory by PSG. He doubled up his joy with his naming as the Champions League Player of the Season.
Surprise Presence of Ousmane Dembele at French Open
A less-chatty player, was all smiles at Roland Garros. For those who know him closely, Ousamane Dembele at the French Open was a pleasant surprise.
He gloriously carried the Champions League trophy to the centre court of Court Philippe Chatrier. Over 10,000 people were cheering on the huge success of PSG.
Dembele looked excited from their Saturday victory as he headed to the centre court. He happily chanted in French ‘Ici c’est Paris’ loosely translating to ‘this is Paris.’
The crowd responded in kind and cheered to his chant while displaying the Champions League trophy. The 28-year-old, in a brief speech, said that what they did [PSG] in Munich was magical.

He gushed at winning their first-ever Champions League trophy, saying that it was an exceptional season for the team.
PSG also won the 2024/2025 French League 1 and topped it with the European Cup. He promised the cheering fans that PSG will push for more of such wins in the next season.
Roland Garros was PSG’s second grand stage at home following their victory over Inter Milan last Saturday.
The team received a king’s welcome on Sunday in the French capital, Paris. Police had a hard time controlling the overexcited fans, leading to massive arrests on Sunday evening.
Nevertheless, celebrations continued on Monday at the French Open where over 10,000 tennis fans thronged.
Ousamane Dembele at the French Open was a statement of excitement for winning the coveted European Cup, besides winning Ligue 1.
Olympique de Marseille was, until Saturday, the only French football team to win the Champions League since 1993.

The 2025 season is great for France outside football. French tennis star Lois Boisson stole the show after stamping her dominance at Roland Garros.

She entered the tournament on a wild card and managed to defeat American tennis star Jessica Pegula on Monday.
Currently ranked world No. 361, Boisson came from a set down to thrash world No.3 Pegula in two straight sets. 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Her victory over Pegula sailed her through to the quarter-finals. With this development for France in the WTA, Ousamane Dembele at the French Open meant a lot to the new tennis sensation.
Boisson, 22, made history by qualifying to play in the Round of 16 with a world No.361 WTA ranking.
Meanwhile, a major showdown awaits at Court Philippe Chatrier on Tuesday as two close friends, Iga Swiatek and Elina Svitolina take on each other.
Swiatek is fiercely defending her French Open victory. Svitolina is also making a run at her first Grand Slam win at Roland Garros.
Off the tennis court, Svitolina and Swiatek are close friends. However, they face off in the quarter-finals.
