The seven-time F1 champion currently has 109 points this season. He sits sixth in the drivers’ championship standing.
Ferrarri has had a chequered first season with him. No podium finish so far despite Hamilton winning a sprint race ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix.
Hamilton’s greatest Grand Prix results are a series of fourth place. Generally, he has made the points in most of the races despite a few difficult qualifying sessions and a recent crash at Zandvoort.
Ferrari as a team ranks second in Constructors Championship after McLaren. Still, he feels that his performance is underwhelming.
His fans have shared similar concerns too, some saying that it’s a sign for the Brit to hang his boots and go home.

Formula 1 fans and commentators alike said this was a sign of dejection, which is likely to end up in Hamilton retiring.
Hamilton had already established himself as Formula 1’s most successful driver when he decided to swap Mercedes for Ferrari.
His move to Ferrari was to get him back to the game after spending three depressing seasons with Mercedes.
However, he is in a worse place now as Mercedes is quickly closing in on Ferrari in the 2025 F1 Constructors Championship.
The 40-year-old had a disappointing weekend at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, particularly in the qualifying session.
He was eliminated in Q2 and had to appear in the race starting in P12. His teammate Charles Leclerc shocked the paddock by taking pole position, further frustrating Hamilton.
After qualifying, Hamilton spoke in self-doubt. He said that he is at a point where he feels that he is the problem, not Ferrari.
He said that it was clear from Leclerc’s performance, adding that the best decision for Ferrari would be to ‘change the driver.’
His statement represented one of his emotional moments, a thought that his fans shared, too.
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur watered down his remarks, stating that his margins and that of Leclerc were very thin. Vasseur noted that Hamilton missed Q3 by a few hundredths of a second despite starting on P12.
