Lewandowski was born into a sporting family. His father, Krzystof (who died in 2005), was a national Judo champion who also played football for Hutnik Warszawa. His mother, Iwona Lewandowska, is a retired volleyball player. She played for AZS Warszawa. Lewandowski’s sister, Milena, plays volleyball and has represented the U21 national team.

7. Scored Five Goals In Nine Minutes 

One of the interesting Robert Lewandowski facts is his incredible feat of scoring five goals in nine minutes. He achieved this back in 2015 during a match between his former club Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. The Bavarians won the match 5-1. 

8. Two-time Best FIFA Men’s Player

Robert Lewandowski is only the second player in history after Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Best FIFA Men’s Player award twice. He first won the award in 2020 and then in 2021

9. Most Goals In A Single Bundesliga Season

Robert Lewandowski established himself as one of the best strikers of his generation while playing in the Bundesliga. He played there for Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich. During the 2020/21 season, Lewandowski broke the record for most goals scored in a single Bundesliga season with 41 goals. 

10. Bayern Munich’s All-Time Second Highest Goalscorer 

During his eight years with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, Lewandowski appeared in 372 matches and scored 344 goals. He is the second-highest goalscorer in Bayern Munich’s history behind the legendary Gerd Muller, who scored 523 goals in 580 games.
