The question of who is the real father of South African soccer star Miche Minnies is an interesting one because of the look-alike features of Ronaldinho.

In the midst of her gameplay, she effortlessly channels the moves of the Brazilian soccer legend. Not only does she emulate his playing style, but her physical resemblance is uncanny, from her complexion to the headband she sports and even her dental features. She became a captivating subject of discussion on social media.

Some people speculated that Ronaldinho might have been in South Africa and possibly had a connection with Miche’s mother. Miche’s mother passed on in 2021 due to heart complications. She was only 19 years old at the time and it remains the hardest thing to grapple with even at 23.

WHAT DOES MINNIES THINK ABOUT RONALDINHO?

The Sundowns Ladies star footballer loves it that she so much resembles Ronaldinho although they are not related. Her biggest wish is to meet him and spend some time with him.

“He is not my father but I’d love to meet him, we may look alike but not related. He’s my idol and would like to possess his abilities in football,” she said at the height of speculation.

Miche has undeniably left a remarkable impression on the field. She emulates the style of Ronaldinho as a striker and consistently delivers outstanding performances. Notably, she claimed the title of the top goal scorer in the 2021 Sasol League.

In the same year, she became a pivotal member of the Sundowns’ female team, taking on the role of striker. Her prowess was evident as she netted an impressive total of 23 goals throughout the season, solidifying her position as their star striker and highest goal scorer.

Standing at a height of 1.56 meters, Miche is a force to be reckoned with on the pitch. She represents South Africa in the U-17 category and has even participated in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

WHERE WAS MINNIES BORN?

Miche was born in 2001, November 14 in South Africa and grew up around her late mother and father David Minnies who is a football coach.  Not much is known about her childhood but she was always a sporty kid. She loved football and it is in her teenage years that her father encouraged her to take it up as a full-time career.

WAS RONALDINHO IN SOUTH AFRICA?

In speculation surrounding retired Ronaldinho’s potential paternity of South African footballer Miche Minnies, it’s worth noting that he visited South Africa in 2007 for the first time. Yet, Miche was born in 2001 which exonerates him from being the real father to the upcoming South African football star.

During this memorable trip, the former Barcelona man graced the country with his presence to participate in a friendly match between Barcelona and Mamelodi Sundowns. This highly anticipated event unfolded at the ABSA Stadium in Durban, drawing an impressive crowd of over 50,000 spectators. Barcelona ultimately triumphed 2-1, with Ronaldinho himself notching one of the goals.

However, his visit wasn’t solely about football. Ronaldinho took the time to engage with South African fans and immerse himself in local communities. He made a heartwarming visit to a children’s hospital in Durban, and, in a true display of his passion for the sport, he played football with children in a township.
