Bale was one of the fastest players at the peak of his career. And this can be proven by his iconic goal against FC Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey final. Apart from his stunning pace, he was also known for his strength, stamina, good technique and bending strikes from a distance.
The former Wales international spent his football career playing for Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid and Los Angeles. He boasts great success, winning several trophies while playing for Real Madrid, and the media praised him for his decisive performances in important games.
However, he became less popular with the Los Blancos fans in his final years due to his lack of commitment. He was also inconsistent and struggled with injuries. Pundits accused Bale of failing to live up to his potential due to the declined performance in his later seasons with the Spanish club.
Nevertheless, the legendary winger is up there as one of the greatest British players of all time. Some of Bales’ biggest moments include a hat-trick for Tottenham in the San Siro against Inter Milan and captaining Wales at a World Cup.
