Virat who is the captain of the Indian Cricket Team, has always inspired young people. The cricket star is the fittest cricket player in the world right now. He has mind-blowing catches and amazing run-outs. He pulled off one of the most stunning catches in 2019 when he robbed Dinesh Karthik of his wicket.

4. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina has established himself as a top cricket player since making his debut in 2005. He is one of the finest ball catchers in the IPL and has an ODI total of 102 catches. He also has an ODI tally of 104 catches. 

Raina’s accomplishments on the pitch cannot be understated, as he won the IPL Best Catcher award two years in a row. Rina, who plays for the Indian Cricket Team, will go down in history as one of the greatest fielders of all time. Jonty Rhodes is one of the admirers of Raina, as he revealed during an interview with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

3. Brendon McCullum

Next on our list of the greatest cricket fielders is Brendon McCullum. The New Zealand international is one of the best cricket players the world has ever seen. He was known as one of the most dangerous batsmen in cricket history due to his hard-hitting. 

Brendon was a very aggressive batsman, as evident in his captaincy tactics on the field, where he set standards for New Zealand cricket. The retired cricket player had unreal fielding skills as his fast-hitting created records in the game. Brendon’s dominating captaincy also contributed to a few significant numbers and milestones. 

He has always been a force to reckon with due to his excellent defence and at-bats. The legend is well known for snagging incredible catches behind the wicket and on the field. Brendon has 453 dismissals to his name as a cricket player. 

2. AB de Villiers 

AB de Villiers is one of the greatest cricket players of all time. The South African cricket player has won the ICC One-Day International Player of the Year award three times. Villiers is a great fielder and battler, as shown by his gameplay on the field.

Villiers can play many positions on the field due to his versatility but is perfect in fielding. Some of the South African most memorable catches are when he put in a lot of effort to catch the ball and pull off on the water. He has made several mind-blowing catches and has always been fit and healthy. 

1. Jonty Rhodes

Jonty Rhodes has been praised for his sheer athleticism, perfect throws, quickness and skill in the backward point area. He is the uncontested king fielder as he is well-versed in the field’s intricacies. 

It’s a thrill to watch Rhodes suspend himself in the air to grab the ball. Rhodes was not only exceptional at catching, but he also had a knack for getting teams out of jams. One of Rhodes’ most memorable run-outs in cricket was his bullet-like run-out of Inzaman-ul-Haq in the 1992 World Cup.
