Rumour has it that the court ordered Edwards to pay $5000 in monthly child support. It further stated that the 23-year-old Timberwolves star decided to pay $1,080,000 upfront to cover the 18 years he is required to support his daughter.
However, the controversy surrounding Anthony Edwards child support payment is that Howard has disputed that his ex-boyfriends pay over a million dollars upfront.
On March 31, an X user posted that Edwards requested the court to pay the entire amount needed in 18 years. Then, on April 2, another X user added that Edwards paid $1,080,000 and cut all ties with Howard.

In a rejoinder, Howard, a musical artist, brand ambassador and CEO, according to her Instagram bio, disputed these claims.
She told Shade Room on Wednesday, April 2, that such proceedings haven’t occurred, and there are no court documents to support the claim. She added that she hasn’t been offered or agreed to the terms being peddled on social media.
Howard later asked on her Instagram stories ‘where such lies were coming from.’ She lightly said this was one of those moments when you hear a rumour about yourself and it leaves you at a position where you want to hear more of it.

This isn’t the first controversy Edwards is involved in with a woman. Paige Jordae rocked his boat in December 20233, accusing him of coercing her to procure an abortion after impregnating her.
Paige, as reported by Fox Sports, informed Edwards of her pregnancy. She sent him details of a doctor’s visit and a positive pregnancy test.
Edwards brazenly told her he wasn’t ready to be a father and that she should have an abortion. He sent $100,000 to Paige to procure an abortion.

He demanded that she send him a video while taking the abortion pills as proof that she used the $100,000 for the right purpose.
As the heat turned up, he posted on his X account that he made the decision ‘in the heat of the moment.’ He said that he respected decisions women made about their bodies.
Back to Anthony Edwards child support payment with Howard, a mother of two, Edwards is a father already. He has a daughter, Aislynn, with his girlfriend Shannon.
