The 57-year-old recently revealed that the movies enabled him to abuse drugs. It was easy for him to purchase drugs with the money he made from this blockbuster.
He had a penchant for snorting substances and cocaine was his favourite drug. Proceeds from his role in the movie enabled him to purchase the drugs.

Reports indicate that the first Mike Tyson Hangover Movie released in 2009, earned him $100,000. Further, his feature in Hangover II earned him $200,000.

However, what he remembers best about his featuring in this film is that it made him make bad decisions in life. Tyson had used drugs before as a young man hustling his way in life in the streets of New York.
His drug problem made him so aggressive that he got involved in a lot of street fights. ‘Iron Mike’ became a regular in jail for his many atrocities, one being fighting and drugs.
Boxing happened, and he toned down on some of these ills, but his love for the white stuff remained unchanged.
He recalls being pitched to appear in the film by Justin Bartha and Todd Phillips while at a nightclub in Las Vegas one evening. They were taking shots, and the two friends convinced him to feature in the movie.
They named it the ‘Hangover’ because Phillips, the film’s creator, woke up with the worst hangover in his drinking history.
It was so bad that Tyson decided to go slow in his drinking to avoid a similar scenario to that of his buddy.
However, he kept his love for hard drugs. He admitted to shooting the movie while high on cocaine.

Why Did Mike Tyson Sue the Hangover?
Tyson never sued The Hangover. The legal trouble that almost stopped the sequel was a copyright fight between Warner Bros. and tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill over Tyson’s famous face tattoo.
However, Tyson was not involved in the case and never sued the movie or its makers. The artist who made Tyson’s facial tattoo sued Ed Helms for copyright infringement because of the tattoo on his face in “The Hangover, Part II” (2011). The studio agreed to settle the case, putting an end to courtroom visits.
